In 2022, the Baja Portalegre 500 marked a return to the vibrant spirit of off-road competitions after two challenging years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. With restrictions gradually lifted, the event once again became a stage for adrenaline and excitement, bringing together drivers from various categories and finally allowing the presence of spectators, something that had been absent in previous years. This return to normalcy reignited the enthusiasm that has always characterized this iconic race, solidifying its prominent position on the Portuguese sports calendar.
