Francisco Mayer, CEO of Keybusiness Audiovisuals, was in conversation with Business magazine.
Keybusiness operates in various areas, from corporate events to large festivals, focusing on quality and customization, and has established itself in the market. What is your assessment of these 20 years?
What started as an idea—to create my own company and provide tailor-made solutions—turned into the challenge of my life. These have been extraordinary years, even with setbacks like the ones we all experienced between 2020 and 2022.
With technological advancements, how has your company adapted its audiovisual solutions to different types of events and sectors? How does Keybusiness ensure efficiency in the events it organizes?
Over the past two decades, we have carried out hundreds of events, from congresses and the Rally de Portugal to large-scale festivals like Rock in Rio. We believe we maintain the trust of brands because we invest in state-of-the-art equipment and expertise. Over these 20 years, both the equipment and the way events are organized have changed. Our team of professionals is excellent, with vast experience and the ability to respond to market challenges and last-minute unforeseen situations.
As we approach the end of 2024, what new developments can we expect from Keybusiness in 2025?
This is a highly challenging industry on multiple levels: on one hand, people and companies seek high-quality events—I would even say they need these moments—but on the other, we believe that the major goals for 2025 are centered on technological innovation, sustainability, and changes in consumer behavior, particularly in audience expectations. For example, attending a concert in the year 2000 versus in 2024 is not the same experience. We are constantly evolving, creating better mechanisms to meet our clients' expectations, whether they are individuals, small businesses, or international organizations. Each event is unique, and our focus on personalization and tailor-made solutions is one of our greatest strengths.
